On the way.....

I had expected the time of my internship for months. And finally the so expected day came. On 8th April Kate, another student in the Culinary Arts Institute, and me started our long journey. We left Varna at 11 in the morning. We were very excited about internship and we talked about it during the long boring hours spent in the bus. Finally we arrived in Sofia at 6 in the afternoon and we went directly to the Sofia airport where we met the third student from CAI - Rosen.

I was quite impatient to arrive in Italy and I felt the 3 hours at the airport like they were endless. Finally it came the moment to get on the board of the plane which would take us closer to the place that we all dreamed about. It was an amazing night flight, which revealed a lot of breathtaking views. At 11 in the evening we arrived at Pisa airport. We took a bus in order to go to the train station. But it had been closed already because of the late hours. We went to a nearby cafe and spent there the following 6 hours.

Early in the morning we get on the train. After one our travelling we were in Empoli where we had to take another train. Everything up to then was going perfect. But unfortunately we missed our train because of a technical problem in the information board in the station. So we had to wait one more hour in order to go to Siena. The whole journey wasn't easy at all because we had a lot of baggage to carry with us, but we managed to succeed. In Siena a person from Borgo Santo Pietro, the hotel in which is located the Meo Modo restaurant, met us and took us to the place where we are going to stay during the following six months. The region of Tuscany is really amazing , but I will tell you more about it in the next posts.
