One evening as a pastry chef

In the kitchen one of the most important things is the team work. I can definitely say that my colleague Elisa and me were really like a team. We both knew our tasks and everything for the restaurant and the Farmers' market was done without any problems. But it came the moment when she decided to leave Meo Modo. So, chef Diego and me had to manage to do everything alone. During the first week the list with my tasks for the day was two times longer than usual, but it is interesting that I didn't feel more tired from the work. Every day I managed to complete all tasks.

I even felt better with this dinamic in the kitchen and I started to like more and more the job I had chosen. After one week a new girl came and only on her second working day she had to be alone with me in the pastry, because the chef had a day off. It is normal that in the beginning she didn't know anything the desserts that we prepare, so I can say that I was almost alone during the service. That night there were quite many people, but everything passed in a perfect way. I will always remember this emotional evening, because it was the first time for me having such a great responsibility. I am also very grateful to my chef for the trust that he has in me, because without it I wouldn't have such a memorable experience.
